| Infocis Press Monitoring is a licensed press cutting agency monitoring over 2000 printed newspapers, magazines, journals, newsletters, periodicals and over 2000 websites, newswires, and broadcast channels in the US and the UK. Delivery to customers has been in the form of email and hard copy. Tonic Designs were asked to help Infocis Press Monitoring stay ahead of the competition, and develop a system to help them deliver press cutting to multiple clients electronically, and at speed. The Infocis client extranet and WAP site allows just that, including upload alerts to mobile handsets, Blackberry and email. Through an administration interface, Infocis staff are able to set up and configure client accounts. This will create an online password restricted account for each client, and automate the creation of their own WAP site at the same time. Infocis staff can also add multiple email addresses and mobile numbers. They can then also set client alerts so as cutting are uploaded to clients directories, automated alerts are fired out in the form of SMS, Blackberry and email. How do the alerts work? Each client has there own directory or folder, containing sub directories. Cutting are uploaded as PDF's and XML files. The PDF files trigger email alerts, if requested by the client, and XML files trigger SMS. The SMS alerts invite the customer to log into their WAP site, where they will see the headlines that can be selected to view the whole story through their mobile device. Email alerts provide links to the clients online account, where they can log in to download the cuttings. |
